9 Hole Series Event at Littleton Golf and Tennis Club

Posted on July 25, 2017
Littleton Golf and Tennis Club played host to 27 JGAC members today for our final 9 Hole Series Event of the season. The players battled through weather delays and rainy conditions to post some solid scores.

In the Girls 11-13 division, Mallory Hopper (in her very first junior golf tournament) takes home the gold medal with an impressive 11 stroke victory. She fired an eleven-over 42 and was one of just three players with a birdie during the round. In second place, with a score of 53 was Avery Gibson and rounding out our top 3 medalists was Lily Finch (59).

In the Boys 11-13 division, T.J. Giordano will go down as this week’s winner. His ten-over 41 was good enough for a three stroke victory over Jackson Finch. Earning our bronze medal in this division was Nicholas Hamner. Hamner fired a 47.

In the Girls 14-18 division, the race was a little tighter, as all 9 girls were within 6 strokes of each other. Edging out her competition, with an eleven-over 42 was Morgan Hamler. Close behind, at 43, was Grace Dunkleberger and Sarah McDevitt. To break this tie, the JGAC completed a score card playoff. Sarah McDevitt takes home the silver medal and Grace Dunkleberger takes the bronze.

In the Boys 14-18 division, Lucas Schulte recorded the lowest round of the day and takes home the gold medal with his five-over 36. Schulte was an impressive one-under par before the first weather delay. In second place, and just two strokes behind Schulte, was Patrick Flanery (38). Rounding out our top 3 was Marc Warsinske. Warsinske fired a nine-over 40.
