Champions Crowned at JGAC Fall Event

The first JGAC Fall Series event wrapped up Sunday at Highland Hills GC in Greeley, CO. 100 junior golfers competed for points and awards among nine different divisions.
 
In the Boys 6-8 division, James Flaxbeard of Greenwood Village, CO won the 18 hole contest by 18 strokes (42, 41 – 83). Wyatt Harlow of Fort Collins, CO finished second (53, 48 – 101), while Carter Brace of Lakewood, CO took third. Carter shot rounds of 55 and 54 in his first JGAC tournament of the year. Frank Lockwood of Meridian, CO earned first place after shooting rounds of 35 and 36 to finish one over par (71). Tyler Long (40, 34) of Evergreen, CO and Landon Houska of Fort Collins, CO finished in a tie for second place at 74. For complete Boys 9-10 results, CLICK HERE.
 
In the Girls 10 & Under division, Addison Hines of Arvada, CO earned her first victory of the season. Addison shot rounds of 46, 36 to win by 3 strokes (82). In the Boys 11-13 division, Jake Chesler of Firestone, CO shot an even par round on Sunday to best the field by 4 strokes (78, 72 – 150). Maxwell Lange of Golden, CO finished second (74, 80 – 154). Nine year old Hadley Ashton of Erie, CO took top honors in the Girls 11-13 division with scores of 85, 79 (164). She was followed by Abigail Aeschleman of Highlands Ranch, CO in second place (86, 82 – 168). Kaylee Chen of Highlands Ranch, CO finished third (88, 81 – 169). The Boys 14-15 Series was led by Medhaj Shrestha of Golden, CO. He fired two consecutive rounds of 86 to win (172). Trey Harman of Boulder, CO and William Bikulcius of Lone Tree, CO each shot 175 in a tie for second place. For complete Boys 14-15 Series results, CLICK HERE.
 
Aurora, CO resident, Brooke Kramer topped the Girls 14-18 Series by three strokes (81, 78 – 159). Maxine Choi of Colorado Springs, CO finished second (82, 80 – 162), while Lois Sheaffer of Greeley, CO earned third (85, 86 – 171). For complete Girls 14-18 Series results, CLICK HERE.
 
In the Boys Tour division, TJ Shehee of Mead, CO shot 144 (74, 70) to best the field by an impressive seven strokes. Blake Schneiter of Grand Junction, CO finished second (75, 76 – 151). Thirteen year old, Sofia Choi of Littleton, CO shot a two-day total of 153 to win the Girls Tour division. Rounds of 78, 75 led Sofia to her first JGAC Tour victory this year.
