Major Facility Spotlight - Junior PGA Championship at Eisenhower Golf Club

Posted on May 03, 2017
For a second year in a row, the Junior Golf Alliance of Colorado is hosting one of its Major Championships at Eisenhower Golf Club at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO.  In 2016 we hosted our Junior Amateur Championship where winners Mary Weinstein and Braden Bentley were handed their trophies. This year we will be hosting the 2017 Colorado Junior PGA Championship. We are honored to come back to this historic facility!

Opening in 1959, this now 36 hole championship facility is a top rated Military golf course. The Blue course, where our Junior PGA Championship will be played, was designed by Robert Trent Jones and will surely yield an outstanding player experience. The other Silver Course is no slouch either!

If you are interested in playing in our Colorado Junior PGA Championship you will need to qualify at one of our two qualifying events. Click the location below to register.
June 1, 2017 - Indian Tree Golf Club, Arvada, CO
June 11, 2017 - Antler Creek, Falcon, CO

Eisenhower isn't all about championship golf. They have an extensive junior program and host multiple teams for PGA Junior League Golf. In fact, this summer from July 13-16, 2017, Sara Brown, Mallory Blackwelder and Kim Hall will be holding clinics for the United States Air Force Academy at Eisenhower. Each of these distinguished ladies have participated on the LPGA Tour or have been on The Big Break. Sara Brown was also a host and instructor on the Golf Channel for three years. They strongly encourage junior golfers of all ages to come and participate in the clinics.

For times and information please contact the golf shop at (719) 333-2606 ext. 3.

We are proud to partner with this distinguished military facility and grow the game through junior golf. Eisenhower is definitely Jacked for Junior Golf!
