The 10&U Junior Series visited the Par 3 course at Indian Tree Golf Club in Arvada, Colorado today, hosted by Director of Golf Alan Abrams, PGA. The kids battled windy conditions and a lightning delay to post some great scores.

In total, 58 players teed it up at Indian Tree, which simultaneously played host to the Colorado Junior PGA Championship, played on the 18 hole course. A little wind and lightning didn’t stop our champions Livia Pett, Matai Naqica, and Andre Dumon tiel from capturing titles.

In the girls division, Livia Pett from Denver, Colorado led all participants with a score of 35. She claimed a one stroke victory over Brooke Hudson and Maddie Makino, whom tied for second place. After a scorecard playoff was decided, Brooke Hudson claimed the silver medal and Maddie Makino took home bronze. Congratulations ladies!

In the Boys 6-8 year old division, Andre Dumontiel from Centennial, Colorado claimed medalist honors. Dumontiel shot a very solid +5 round of 32. Not far behind was Miles Kuhl (+7) and coming in third was Collen Todd (+10) . Todd captured 3rd place after overtaking Campbell McFadden in a scorecard playoff.

The Boys 9-10 year old division certainly produced plenty of drama late in the day. The champion in this division had to be decided with an on course playoff. Frank Lockwood of Meridian, Colorado and Matai Naqica of Centennial, Colorado went extra holes after both shooting +4, 31 in regulation. Naqica went on to win the one hole playoff claiming the title. Frank Lockwood’s solid play earned him second place and Will Balliet (+5) rounded out our medalists for the day.

Congratualtions to all medalists and thank you to all players whom participated today!

The next 10&U Series event will be a 2 day event held on July 20th and 21st in Vail, Colorado.
