Westminster, CO -  The temperatures cooled just a touch on Monday, down to the mid 90’s from the previous weekend’s 100+ highs, but the competition was hot at the Drive, Chip and Putt local qualifier hosted at The Heritage at Westmoor.  Head Golf Professional Brian Carlson and Golf Westminster had the competition facilities in tip top shape for the 200+ junior golfers who sought to take the next step on the “Road to Augusta”
24 boys and girls punched tickets to the next round of the Drive Chip and Putt journey and will convene again on August 13th at CommonGround Golf Course for the Sub Regional.  The highlight of the day was the score posted by Junior Golf Alliance of Colorado (JGAC) standout, Charlotte Hillary, who posted 161 points – the highest point total in the girls division so far this year!
