The JGAC is looking for talented and well-rounded applicants to work in entry-level positions as tournament operations interns. Our interns travel throughout Colorado helping conduct tournaments and development programs. The JGAC looks for qualities such as:
The common thread, which runs through the internships, is exposure to tournament preparations, tournament administration and post tournament business. The nature of tournament administration will test one's patience, initiative and decision-making abilities, as well as one's ability to endure long hours and hard work. The staff assists with the implementation of all tournaments over the course of the spring and summer seasons to help the JGAC continue further its mission of "elevating the course of future generations".
The Colorado Golf Association is seeking qualified candidates for internships in Championship Golf, Junior Golf (JGAC), Member Services and Communications. These internships involve exposure to all aspects of golf administration including: membership services, handicap inquiries and support, course rating and measuring, communications, social media, tournament management, junior golf (JGAC), other youth program initiatives, and general office administration. These positions will provide a wide-ranging experience for individuals seeking to pursue a career in golf administration.
These internships are designed to focus on golf administration through the Colorado Golf Association and the Junior Golf Alliance of Colorado. Duties will include but are not limited to on-site tournament administration, Rules of Golf implementation, media communication, online tournament schedule management, volunteer coordination, communication of tournament information to competitors, posting of results, and general office duties. Primary duties require working as a team to conduct events at multiple golf courses across the state of Colorado
This internship involves two key aspects of the Membership and Community Programs Department of the Colorado Golf Association. Part of the internship will focus on primarily on social media, public relations, marketing and communications. The other part of the internship involves exposure to all aspects of youth and adult golf instruction and player development including, but not limited to: golf instruction and outreach program administration; participant coordination and communication; website updates and administration; onsite assistant coordinator for outreach programs; and volunteer administration.
